Lisa

I am the oldest daughter of Darrell & Tempie Batten.  There are four children in our immediate family.  I am number two between two brothers , Kevin and Paul.  We were blessed with a baby sister when I was thirteen years old, Angie. 

I never sang much outside of church, until my best friend, Teresa, who married my brother, asked me to harmonize with her.   I gave it a try and it sounded okay, so we practiced and learned some songs.  I had to have lessons... cause' she can REALLY sing, but I keep trying and we persevere.  Now our kids  and even their kids are getting into the music.  What fun! 

I  thank the Lord everyday for His goodness in allowing us to serve Him in such a FUN and gratifying way!    Because, you know, sometime music speaks when words fail, and our goal is to bring a smile, or ease some cares, if only for a while.  Hope to see you soon at a festival!
